Bookkeeper/Accountant job position

Our company handles various functions of bookkeeping for small businesses in the South King and Pierce counties. Your responsibilities will be to coordinate with client to determine the bookkeeping requirements (this has already been established for existing clients). Based on the client requirements you could be performing various facets of Accounts Receivables (invoicing, receiving customer payments), Accounts Payables (posting bills, paying bills) and preparation of Payroll (preparing and submitting payroll and scheduling Federal Payroll Tax Deposits). You may also be required to perform bank/ credit card reconciliations, State Tax filings (Dept of Revenue) and State and Federal payroll tax reporting. The client may ask for Financial Statements (Balance Sheet & Profit & Loss) or an explanation of the information on the Financial Statement.

Requirements necessary to perform these job duties are:

 

· MUST be very detailed oriented

· MUST be a self starter/motivator

· Solid understanding or Accounting principles (this will be tested)

· Knowledge/experience in payroll – preparation, taxes & quarterlies

· Knowledge/experience in reconciliations

· Knowledge of Financial Statements

· Trainable/ Willingness to learn new processes

· Excellent communicator – both verbal & written

· Knowledge of Excel & Word

· Preferably 1-2 years experience with QuickBooks desktop and/or QuickBooks Online

· Must have own transportation and be willing to travel (South King Co to Pierce Co)
